The weather consisted of moderate/strong south-westerly winds and increasing cloud, before a band of rain in the evening. Seawatching highlights included a Balearic Shearwater, ten Manx Shearwaters, 138 Sandwich Terns, 15 Common Terns, an Arctic Tern and an Arctic Skua flying north. Heading in the opposite direction were 35 Oystercatchers, 15 Whimbrel, 54 Redshank, nine Turnstone, 115 Knot and eight Dunlin. In addition, five Yellow Wagtails flew south over the Fog Station.

Thornwick Pools attracted single Shoveler, Wigeon, Green Sandpiper and three Dunlin.

West of the Dykes, two Marsh Harriers and a Quail (calling) were present at Buckton, where a Little Egret flew south. A Bonxie, three Wheatear and four Yellow Wagtails were present at Bempton Cliffs RSPB.
